The Speech & Career Center
Brionna Pickens, M.A., CCC-SLP
The Speech & Career Center is a vision from God! It was birthed from my passion to enhance the communication skills of children and adolescents all while incorporating functional activities they engage in during their daily lives. I truly believe everyone has a purpose in our world across all ability levels. I’m driven and motivated to ensure the individuals we serve have the communication skills they need in order to contribute to and participate in their communities.
I received both my Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Akron. While completing my graduate studies, I received specialty training in working with children with hearing loss using the listening and spoken language approach. I am licensed by The Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from The American Speech and Hearing Association.
I have experience working in the private practice and school setting. I have served children with a variety of disabilities such as autism, down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, specific learning disabilities, and emotional disturbances.
It brings me great joy to serve my community by improving the communication skills of my clients and supporting their families along the way.
